Discusses his last voyage to Guiana and his troubles with the Spanish. Also includes copies of: his second testamentary note, October 29, 1618, (p. 229); speech before his execution, October 19 [i.e. 29], 1618, (p. 271); and poem written the night before his execution, first line: Even such is time that takes in trust (p. 229).
